Venice, Italy ��� July, 2013: the Festival of the Redeemer in Venice on July 20, 2013. The Venetians��� favourite event is a thanksgiving to Jesus Christ for the end of the Plague. In three years 1575-1577 the Black Death killed more than half of the inhabitants of Venice in spite of the efforts of the best doctors and the Venetian Senate approved the proposal of the Doge to make a solemn vow to invoke the salvation of the city. The fireworks show is considered the best in Europe and people can watch having dinner on boats or gondole.
