MANILA - PHILIPPINES - CATHOLIC - BLACK NAZARENE - JESUS CHRIST
PHILIPPINES, Manila: Hundreds of thousands of barefoot devotees gather around the life-sized statue of the Black Nazarene Jesus Christ as it is paraded through the streets of Manila on January 9, 2016. Philippine Catholics attend the 12 hour long procession in search of miracles from the 17th century Black Nazarene statue. The statue is only brought into the public three times per year, and is otherwise kept safe at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo district. More than 80 million of the 100 million people in the Philippines consider themselves Catholics.
