Stitched panorama of the severe storm front that came across the ranges at Broken Bay. This is a supercell - A supercell is a thunderstorm that is characterized by the presence of a mesocyclone: a deep, persistently rotating updraft formed when cooler airmass underflows the warmer moisture laden air.. A fast moving front, that from first appearance to on top of you was only about five to ten minutes or less. The storm had passed over within 20 minutes. Below is Pearl Beach
