Seville - Torre del Oro
Torre del Oro (Tower of gold) is one of the most famous landmarks in Seville. The tower is placed on the banks of Guadalquivir river, and in the 13th century was part of the defensive system of the city. It is called golden tower because it's said that its rooftop was once covered with golden tiles.
