Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger

Rudy was the subject of 1993 film of the same name which depicts his dream of playing football for Notre Dame. He realized his dream and played for 27 seconds (two plays) sacking the quarter back. Rudy was carried off the field on the shoulders of his fellow players. He was the last player to be accorded the honor of being carried off the field by his teamates. Today Rudy is a movtivational speaker. Rudy is played by Sean Astin in the film.
