Waves crashing on rocks

In the foreground we see some plants typically found on many Scottish beaches: grasses, ragwort, and the purple flowering heads of some thistles. There’s a short sandy beach, with small clumps of seaweed at the strand line. Further out we see a stretch of calm water, edged with some rocks. These rocks are a natural buffer to the sea that is relentlessly crashing against them – creating large white waves surrounded by sea spray.
