TURKEY, Istanbul: A law enforcement vehicle overlooks a crowd of more than 100 female demonstrators, calling themselves the Women's Initiative for Peace, rallying in Istanbul, Turkey on December 16, 2015 against the recent wave of deadly clashes across Turkey. Police eventually used water cannons to disperse the crowd. Protests have been erupting in numerous Turkish cities amid growing anger over the imposition of public curfews during operations against the rebel Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK.
