ARGENTINA, Buenos Aires: Protesters calling for justice wait anxiously outside a court in Buenos Aires, Argentina on December 29, 2015 as defendants in the infamous train crash at Once Station are sentenced to prison. The accident, which left 51 people dead, occurred on February 22, 2012. Former Transport Secretary Juan Pablo Schiavi got eight years in prison; his predecessor, Ricardo Jaime, got six years; the train's operator, Marcos Cordoba, got three years and six months in prison, and cannot operate a train for seven years. The Cirigliano brothers, suspected of having kept government subsidies that were to be spent on train maintenance, were also sentenced. Sergio Cirigliano got nine years in prision; and his brother, Roque, got five years; their brother, Mario, was acquitted.
