UNITED-STATES, New York: United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (3rdL) addresses the audience during a special event entitled In stronger partnership and better coordination of efforts to stop human trafficking: Eradicating modern-day slavery through sustainable development, organized by the Group of Friends United against Human Trafficking, in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) held at UN Headquarters in New York on February 9, 2016. United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon urged the countries to ratify and implement the Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
