BRAZIL-BRASILIA-IMPEACHMENT HEARING
BRAZIL, Brasilia: A members of parliament tossed confetti at the impeachment proceedings for President Dilma Rousseff on April 17, 2016 in Brasilia. Some members of parliament began signing, shouting and throwing confetti as the proceedings turned chaotic. The impeachment issue has divided Brazil over the past few weeks with some in support of impeaching Rousseff, while others are strongly opposed. Brazil's lower house is voting on whether to continue impeachment proceedings. 342 out of 513 votes are needed to continue the proceedings to the upper house.
