FRANCE, Paris: A picture is taken of a Fnac store on April 22, 2016 as the battle for Europe's third-largest electrical goods retailer Darty intensifies as Conforama, owned by South African retail giant Steinhoff and French rival Fnac frantically tried to outbid each other. Five new offers in less than 24 hours on April 21, 2016 lifted Darty shares by more than 23 percent to their highest level since the end of 2010, valuing it at GBP 779 million (USD 1.1 billion, 990 million euros).
