Sao Paulo - Brazil, October 10, 2011. The Light Station was opened to the public on 1 March 1901, its structure was brought from England to copy the Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. The station became a gateway for immigrants as well, promoting the small village of troops to a major metropolis. This importance given to the Sao Paulo Railway Station, as it was officially known, lasted until the end of World War II. The Light Station was listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1982, is an important milestone in Sao Paulo.
