Brihadeeswarar temple in Gangaikonda cholapuram, Tamil nadu
The Brihadisvara or Brihadeeswar temple located in Gangaikonda Cholapuram, Tamilnadu is one of the oldest structure built by Rajendra Chola-I in 11th Century AD. This is the Hindu temple built in Dravidian architecture style. The temple is entirely built with granite stones and the temple contains many monolithic sculptures in it. Also tamil words are inscribed in the wall of the temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord shiva and it is a UNESCO world heritage site.
