Brihadeeswarar temple in Thanjavur, Tamil nadu, India
The Brihadisvara temple or Brihadeeswar temple located in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu built by Tamil King Raja Raja Chola-I between 1003 and 1010 AD. This is the Hindu temple built in Dravidian architecture style. The temple is entirely built with granite stones and the temple contains many monolithic sculptures in it. This temple is one of the `Great Living Chola Temples` and also tamil words are inscribed in the wall of the temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord shiva and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
