Arch of Constantine Rome Italy Stone arch was built in the year 315 to celebrate Constantine's victory in 312 over co-emperor Maxenntius at Milvian Bridge. Emperor Constantine attributed the victory to a dream which lead him to mark his men's shields with chi-rho,the first two greek letters of Christ's name.
