United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, perspective column at Sheikh Zayed Mosque
The “Sheikh Zayed” Mosque, with a total area of 22,412 square meters and the capacity to accommodate up to 40,000 visitors, is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the ninth in the world. Its name comes from Sheikh Zayed ben Sultan Al Nahyane, the first president of the United Arab Emirates and sponsor of the building. It contains the largest chandelier and the largest handcrafted carpet in the world.
