United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Burj-Al-Arab seen from the sea
The Burj al-Arab is a proclaimed "seven star" hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Measuring 321 meters, it was, until 2007, the building used exclusively as the tallest hotel. It is particularly recognizable by its shape of a giant veil. Designed in 1993 by architect Tom Wright, it is built on an artificial island in the Persian Gulf.
