Meditating Buddha statue at Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka
Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It consists of some of the oldest ruins in Sri Lanka and is designated as a Unesco World Heritage site. Medirigiriya Watada Geya site is a part of the city. It was constructed by King Parakramabahu.
