Edmund Burke
Edmund Burke (1729-1797) on engraving from the 1800s. Anglo-Irish statesman, author, orator, political theorist and philosopher. Mostly remembered for his opposition to the French Revolution. Leading figure within the conservative faction of the Whig party. Engraved by H.Robinson from a painting by J.Reynolds and published in London by Fisher, Son & Co in 1845.
