Slavkov Peace Memorial
Peace Memorial is the first the memorial of peace in Europe. Historically associated with the Battle of Austerlitz (Slavkov) and stands on a hill about a mile south of the village work, in place of a decisive victory French over the Russians and Austrians in 1805. Peace Monument was created between 1910 and 1912. He designed and built by a famous Czech architect Josef Fanta. The Battle of Austerlitz, also known as the "Battle of the Three Emperors" was the second December 1805 near Austerlitz. French Empire army led by Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte here overwhelmingly defeated army of allies (the III. Coalition), which were Russia, headed by Tsar Alexander I and M.I. Kutuzov and Austria under the supreme command of the Emperor Francis I.
