Ginkakuji - Kyoto - Japan
Ginkaku-ji or the Temple of the Silver Pavilion, in the historic city of Kyoto in Japan. Ashikaga Yoshimasa built it as a retirement villa and gardens in around 1460. After his death it become a Zen temple. The temple is today associated with the Shokoku-ji branch of Rinzai Zen.
